Nameshi Japanese Fried Rice

Here's a recipe for Japanese fried rice using Nameshi seasoning by Mishima Foods:

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked Japanese short-grain rice (preferably chilled or day-old rice)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Nameshi seasoning by Mishima Foods
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat and add the vegetable oil.
  2. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add the diced carrot and frozen peas to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and pour the beaten eggs into the empty space. Scramble the eggs until they are fully cooked.
  5. Add the chilled cooked rice to the skillet and stir-fry everything together, breaking up any clumps of rice with a spatula or wooden spoon.
  6. Drizzle the soy sauce evenly over the rice and continue stirring to distribute the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the Nameshi seasoning by Mishima Foods over the rice and mix well, ensuring that the seasoning is evenly incorporated.
  8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through and starts to develop a slightly crispy texture.
  9. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the fried rice with chopped green onions.
  10. Serve the Japanese fried rice hot and enjoy!
