Roasted Salmon with Furikake

Roasted Salmon with Furikake

Roasted Salmon with Furikake is a delicious and flavorful dish that combines the rich taste of salmon with the unique seasoning of furikake, a Japanese blend of dried seaweed, sesame seeds, and other spices. Here's a recipe to help you prepare it:

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons furikake seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, mirin, and honey to create the marinade.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Season them lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the marinade over the salmon fillets, making sure to coat them evenly. Let the salmon marinate for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
  5. Sprinkle the furikake seasoning evenly over the salmon fillets, pressing it gently into the flesh to adhere.
  6. Roast the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked to your desired doneness. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets, so keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
  7. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the roasted salmon with furikake hot, garnished with lemon wedges on the side. It pairs well with steamed rice and vegetables.

Enjoy your delicious roasted salmon with furikake!
